Well, a lot can happen in a few short weeks. One month ago I was making coffee, the last three weeks I've been photographing bottom brackets, planning creative shoots, recording interviews and filling in the gaps I'm missing in processes of video shooting and editing. Clearly all in between making sure I'm hitting my workouts.

I feel pretty lucky that I was presented the opportunity to work for three companies under one umbrella: power2max North America, BORN Superior Sports Care and The Blackline.ca. Not only is it creative work letting me flex skills that I acquired what is now years ago at ECUAD, but I get to do creative work inside the cycling industry. I'll admit though, the past few weeks have felt like I'm shaking out the cobwebs a bit, as well as adapting to a whole different style of workday than I've done for the last three years. It is also pretty sweet that the guys I'm working with are bike racers at heart, with careful planning I'll be able to take a lot of my job with me on the road when I'm away at big races (ps: looking for a guest ride for Beauce, if anyone is reading..) which should help me stress less about missing out on rent while I'm racing.

Photographing nice bike parts is now part of my job. I've landed in some crazy dream world. That's alright with me.

To say I'm feeling very lucky right now is again an understatement. I realize the rarity of creative jobs opening up in your particular field of interest, let alone one that is keen to let and help you get back up to speed after being out of it for a little while. That said, I feel I'm going at the opportunity the same way I approach anything else I'm eager about, overzealously. If I can make any one bold statement about a skill I'm trying to rapidly blossom and keep growing, it would be that I am trying to do everything I can to learn how to stay organized, which is truthfully probably going to be my biggest challenge of the year. Well, off the bike at least.
